Dr. Bürklin Wolf Cuvée Brut German sparkling wine - traditional bottle fermentation 0.75L
A Winzersekt from the Palatinate that shows what traditional bottle fermentation can get out of German Chardonnay: fine perlage, clear structure, no frills.
The Dr. Bürklin-Wolf winery is one of the most famous addresses in the Palatinate — organically managed and geared towards quality for generations. The operation is Demeter-certified and manages sites in Wachenheim, Forst, Deidesheim, and Ruppertsberg. The Cuvée Brut is created according to the traditional Méthode Champenoise with a second fermentation in the bottle — the process that gives Champagne its depth, here consistently applied to Palatinate Chardonnay.
In the glass, light straw yellow with fine, persistent mousseux appears. The nose brings yellow apples, brioche, and a subtle yeast note — typical for the bottle fermentation style. On the palate, the Sekt is dry and taut, with lively acidity and a clean, mineral finish without residual sweetness.
Well-chilled at 7–9 °C as an aperitif, with tarte flambée, goat cheese, or steamed fish. If you are looking for German Sekt with a real artisanal background, this is the right place.
