Pechstein GC Riesling dry QW Pfalz 0.75L

Pechstein GC Riesling dry QW Pfalz 0.75L
This Riesling from Weingut Dr. Bürklin-Wolf comes from Pechstein, one of the most famous single vineyards in the Palatinate — one of the most traditional wineries in Germany, now certified organic (DE-ÖKO-003) and owned by the Bürklin family for generations.
The Pechstein vineyard owes its name to the basaltic-volcanic soil, which forces the vines to root deeply. This noticeably shapes the wine: robust structure, pronounced minerality, and a firm acidity. The nose reveals ripe citrus fruit, white peach, and a distinct stony character—the typical flinty note that this site produces. On the palate, the wine is dense and concentrated, with a long, salty-dry finish.
Best served at 10–12 °C . Pairs well with veal medallions in cream sauce, pan-fried sea bream, or strong mountain cheese. With some cellaring—until 2030 and beyond—it will gain further complexity.
