Elena Walch Pinot Grigio Vigna Castel Ringberg
The single vineyard Vigna Castel Ringberg lies 400 meters above sea level, directly on the shores of Lake Kaltern in South Tyrol, Italy. Elena Walch's Pinot Grigio Vigna Castel Ringberg originates from this hilly, south-facing site. The Pinot Grigio grapes thrive on loose soils with clay and limestone components, yielding a wonderfully charismatic white wine. Following a rigorous selection process that begins with harvesting in the vineyard, fermentation commences. In the glass, the Elena Walch Pinot Grigio Vigna Castel Ringberg shimmers a pale yellow with captivating green reflections. The bouquet offers delicate fruity notes of banana and pear, accompanied by hints of fresh hay blossoms and herbs. On the palate, the wine's excellent structure is evident. The fruit aromas from the bouquet are confirmed on the palate, balanced by a juicy, gentle acidity. The finish is a harmonious, long-lasting, and powerful conclusion.

Elena Walch – an architect by passion, a winemaker by conviction. Since 1985, she has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her vineyards. Her motto: "Good wine doesn't grow by itself!" She has uncompromisingly transformed the two South Tyrolean Cru vineyards, Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz, owned exclusively by her family. Piece by piece, she converted the pergola trellises into modern Guyot training systems with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The result: low yields, healthy grapes, gentle vinification with targeted use of oak. Fruity, elegant white wines – and red wines, pure "tigers on velvet paws." Top-class South Tyrolean wines with a clear signature.
