Elena Walch Cardellino Chardonnay
Cardellino is the goldfinch, which feels particularly at home in the South Tyrolean vineyards due to the intact environment and insect diversity.
Elena Walch consciously chose this songbird as a symbol for the label of this Chardonnay to express her connection with nature and the preservation of winegrowing tradition in Alto Adige.
The bouquet exudes concentrated scents of ripe yellow fruits, which are accompanied by a subtle vanilla note. In the mouth and on the palate, it then shows itself with a complex structure, very pithy, and with a velvety softness. The finish of the Cardellino Chardonnay Castel Ringberg by Elena Walch is remarkably long-lasting and wonderfully harmonious.

Elena Walch is just amazing. One of
The Winery
Elena Walch – architect by passion, winemaker by conviction. Since 1985, she has dedicated herself to her vineyards with full commitment. Her motto: "Good wine does not grow by itself!"
She has uncompromisingly transformed the two South Tyrolean cru sites, Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz, which are solely owned by the family. Piece by piece, she converted the pergola systems into modern Guyot cultivation with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet, and Merlot.
The result: low yields, healthy grapes, gentle aging with targeted use of wood. Fruity, elegant white wines – and red wines, pure "tigers on velvet paws." South Tyrolean top class with a clear signature.
