Elena Walch Sauvignon Blanc Vigna Castel Ringberg
"Good wine doesn't grow by itself," says Elena Walch when you talk to her about quality. And the wines she coaxes from her idyllic Vigna Castel Ringberg vineyard clearly bear her personal signature. The Vigna Castel Ringberg Sauvignon Blanc is a complex white wine that tantalizes the nose with delicate notes of elderflower, peach, tropical fruits, and subtle smokiness. Its well-structured, fruity body, well-integrated acidity, and majestic finish make the Vigna Castel Ringberg Sauvignon Blanc a must-try for Sauvignon Blanc enthusiasts. Elena Walch – an architect by passion, a winemaker by conviction. Since 1985, she has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her vineyards. Her motto: "Good wine doesn't grow by itself!" She has uncompromisingly transformed the two South Tyrolean Cru vineyards, Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz, owned exclusively by her family. Piece by piece, she converted the pergola trellises into modern Guyot training systems with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The result: low yields, healthy grapes, gentle vinification with targeted use of oak. Fruity, elegant white wines – and red wines, pure "tigers on velvet paws." Top-class South Tyrolean wines with a clear signature.
