Col di Sasso Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon Sangiovese

Col di Sasso Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon Sangiovese
Strong, direct and easy to drink — the Col di Sasso is Banfi's best-selling red wine and a prime example of what Tuscany can offer in the entry-level segment.
Banfi is one of Brunello's largest wineries: 850 hectares of vineyards around Montalcino, family-owned since the 1970s. The Col di Sasso comes from the estate's flatter slopes — vinified for early consumption, not for cellaring.
In the glass, the blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon displays ripe cherry and blackberry, along with a subtle hint of cedar and dark plum. Medium-bodied, with soft tannins and a short, fruit-driven finish. Not a complex single-vineyard profile, but a well-made, everyday red wine with good structure. Wine Spectator awarded it 88 points and the "Best Value" designation.
Best served between 16 and 18 °C . Pairs well with pasta with tomato sauce, grilled sausages, pizza Napoli, or a casual evening with friends. Drink now — no aging required.
