Bersano Eroe Roero Arneis DOCG

The Roero Arneis from Bersano shows why this Piedmontese grape variety has long been receiving attention beyond the region: straw yellow in the glass, aromatically open, with a pleasant freshness without any sharpness.

Bersano is one of Piedmont's traditional wineries, based in Nizza Monferrato, with decades of experience working with the region's classic grape varieties. The Arneis grape originates from the Roero – the hilly area north of the Tanaro River, whose sandy soils give the grape its characteristic lightness.

The grapes were hand-harvested in mid-September and fermented for 20 days at a controlled temperature of 16–18 °C. Aging in stainless steel tanks preserves the aromatics: honey, ripe pear, and a hint of herbs, along with a subtle spiciness on the finish. The acidity is moderate, the body light – a white wine that doesn't demand, but invites.

Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with antipasti, white fish, zucchini risotto, or a simple vitello tonnato. Also a delightful, uncomplicated aperitif on its own. Best enjoyed now until 2026.
