Badarina Barolo DOCG

Barolo from Piedmont – that means Nebbiolo on calcareous sandstone, long maceration times, and a wine that needs time to show its personality. Bersano's Badarina Barolo DOCG comes from exactly this environment.

The Bersano house is one of the traditional names in Asti and Monferrato and has been cultivating Piedmontese sites for decades with a focus on varietal expression. The Badarina site provides the Nebbiolo with the typical clay-marl soils of the southern Barolo – mineral-rich and deep.

In the glass, the 2020 initially shows aromas of dried cherry, tobacco, and leather notes, underpinned by spices like star anise and a slight tarry quality – classic for an aged Nebbiolo. On the palate, firm but fine-grained tannins, lively acidity, and a long, spicy finish.
