Badarina Barolo DOCG
Barolo from Piedmont – that means Nebbiolo on calcareous sandstone, long maceration periods, and a wine that needs time to reveal its personality. Bersano's Badarina Barolo DOCG comes from precisely this environment.
Bersano is one of the most prestigious wineries in Asti and Monferrato, cultivating Piedmontese vineyards for decades with a focus on producing single-varietal wines. The Badarina vineyard provides the Nebbiolo with the typical clay-marl soils of southern Barolo – mineral-rich and deep.
In the glass, the 2020 vintage initially displays aromas of dried cherry, tobacco, and leather notes, underpinned by spices such as star anise and a slight tarryness – classic for a mature Nebbiolo. On the palate, firm yet fine-grained tannins, lively acidity, and a long, spicy finish.
