Badarina Barolo DOCG Riserva

Garnet red with orange reflections in the glass—the color alone reveals that this Barolo Riserva has had time to age. Five years of maturation, including eight months in French oak barrels, have shaped a Nebbiolo that softens the grape's inherent austerity, revealing a velvety-smooth texture.

Bersano is one of the oldest and largest privately owned wineries in Piedmont. Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, the estate now cultivates over 230 hectares of vineyards in the prime locations of Asti and Cuneo. The Badarina comes from the single vineyard of the same name—a name that has stood for structured, age-worthy Barolos in Piedmont for decades.

The nose is dominated by dried roses and violets, complemented by a classic hint of tar and subtle tobacco nuances that develop with oak aging. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet light: the tannins are present, well-integrated, and velvety—a sign of extended barrel aging. The acidity provides structure and freshness, and the finish is long and spicy with a lingering aftertaste of licorice and dark berries.
