Wine & Dine - Wines from Austria on September 18, 2026

Over the evening
Austria, like few other wine regions, stands for uncompromising quality, artisanal tradition, and an impressive style. From the vibrant freshness of Grüner Veltliner to the powerful elegance of Burgenland's red wines, wines with depth, character, and a distinct sense of origin are created here. This evening, we will present you with a hand-picked selection that reflects the diversity between Kamptal, Vienna, and Burgenland. An evening celebrating Austrian hospitality – warm, enjoyable, and full of discoveries.
Whether you already appreciate Austrian wines or are discovering them for the first time: This evening combines enjoyment, knowledge and Alpine charm.
This is how the evening goes
The entire evening will be moderated by our wine expert. With each course, we will introduce you to the accompanying wines: their origin, the special characteristics of the soils from loess to slate, and the individual style of the winemakers.
There will always be time for questions – whether about the different aging stages of Grüner Veltliner, the indigenous grape varieties, or the ideal serving temperature. No prior knowledge is necessary, just curiosity and a love of good wine.
The wines
This evening we will taste an exclusive selection of top-quality wines from Austria.
The following wines will be served this evening:
Schlumberger sparkling wine Grüner Veltliner
Birgit Eichinger Grüner Veltliner Strass DAC

The menu
The experience is rounded off by a corresponding 4-course menu that harmoniously complements the aromas of the wines and makes each course a part of the overall experience.
Starter: Roasted pumpkin served with Styrian pumpkin seed oil, fine radish and seeds.
Creamy swede soup refined with fresh watercress, served with crispy black bread croutons.
Main course: Tender veal rump with tangy horseradish sauce, served with classic boiled potatoes and fresh chives.
Dessert: Light and airy quark cream with fruity apricot and fine nut butter crumbs.
Wood-fired bread with chili seed oil and salted butter
We brought Farkas Catering on board to create the perfect menu. Their team ensures that the combination of wine and food on the plate is simply a delight.
