About the evening
In the 1970s, some Tuscan winemakers dared to break the rules: they relied on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and new oak barrels, initially bottling their wines as simple table wine. This resulted in the Super Tuscans – wines that have written wine history and are now among the most sought-after in the world.
This evening, we will open cult wines and rarities from Tuscany and tell you the stories behind them: from Bolgheri on the coast to the heart of Chianti.
How the evening works
The entire evening will be moderated by our wine expert. For each course, we will introduce the accompanying wines: their origin, the people behind them, and what makes each individual wine special.
There will always be room for questions – whether about grape varieties, vinification, or the ideal serving temperature. You don't need any prior knowledge, just curiosity and a love for enjoyment.
The wines
We will taste Super Tuscans from Bolgheri and Tuscany, from entry-level to Tignanello and Ornellaia. The following wines will be in your glass:
Subject to changes in the wine selection. Should a planned wine be unavailable at short notice, we will select an adequate, harmonious replacement.
The menu
The tasting will be accompanied by a corresponding 4-course menu that picks up on the aromas of the wines and culinarily complements the experience. We will announce the menu at a later date.
Upon request, we also offer a vegetarian menu option – simply let us know when booking.
Included services
The price includes all tasting wines, the menu, as well as water and bread.
