About the evening
Riesling versus Grüner Veltliner, Wachau versus Mosel, Blaufränkisch versus Pinot Noir: Austria and Germany share a long wine tradition – and each country has its own style.
This evening, we will pit wines from both countries against each other. You will taste, compare, and decide for yourself who does it better. An evening with a wink, exciting comparisons, and guaranteed lively discussions at the table.
How the evening works
The entire evening will be moderated by our wine expert. For each course, we will introduce the accompanying wines: their origin, the people behind them, and what makes each individual wine special.
There will always be room for questions – whether about grape varieties, vinification, or the ideal serving temperature. You don't need any prior knowledge, just curiosity and a love for enjoyment.
The wines
The wines will compete in pairs: Sekt against Sekt, Grüner Veltliner against Silvaner, Riesling against Riesling, and Blaufränkisch against Pinot Noir. The following wines will be in your glass:
Subject to changes in the wine selection. Should a planned wine be unavailable at short notice, we will select an adequate, harmonious replacement.
The menu
The tasting will be accompanied by a corresponding 4-course menu that picks up on the aromas of the wines and culinarily complements the experience. We will announce the menu at a later date.
Upon request, we also offer a vegetarian menu option – simply let us know when booking.
Included services
The price includes all tasting wines, the menu, as well as water and bread.
