About the evening
Hardly any wine region combines as many contrasts in such a small space as South Tyrol. Alpine peaks and Mediterranean warmth, steep slopes and sunny valley floors: over 20 grape varieties grow here, from fresh Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc to aromatic Gewürztraminer, Vernatsch, and Lagrein.
This evening, we will take you on a journey through the diversity of South Tyrol – with a colorful mix of wines that show why the region is one of the most exciting in Italy.
How the evening works
The entire evening will be moderated by our wine expert. For each course, we will introduce the accompanying wines: their origin, the people behind them, and what makes each individual wine special.
There will always be room for questions – whether about grape varieties, vinification, or the ideal serving temperature. You don't need any prior knowledge, just curiosity and a love for enjoyment.
The wines
We will taste wines from Kellerei Girlan, Castelfeder, and Kellerei Schreckbichl – from Pinot Blanc to Kerner and Gewürztraminer, all the way to Vernatsch and Lagrein. The following wines will be in your glass:
Subject to changes in the wine selection. Should a planned wine be unavailable at short notice, we will select an adequate, harmonious replacement.
The menu
The tasting will be accompanied by a corresponding 4-course menu that picks up on the aromas of the wines and culinarily complements the experience. We will announce the menu at a later date.
Upon request, we also offer a vegetarian menu option – simply let us know when booking.
Included services
The price includes all tasting wines, the menu, as well as water and bread.
