Verso Sera Montepulciano d`Abruzzo DOCG

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo in its matured, dense form: The Verso Sera from Velenosi brings the rugged beauty of the Abruzzo region into the glass — a mountain region between the Apennines and the Adriatic, known for powerful, characterful red wines.

Velenosi is a winery from the Marche region with many years of experience in Central Italy, which consistently brings out the strengths of the Montepulciano grape with the Verso Sera. The grape variety is the soul of the Abruzzo — thick-skinned, tannin-rich, with natural depth. In the glass, the wine shows a rich ruby red with violet reflections.

On the nose, ripe blackberry and blackcurrant, followed by tobacco, leather and a hint of dried herbs. On the palate, soft, velvety tannins with good structure, medium acidity and a long, spicy finish. No sharp edges — a red wine with genuine complexity that does not feel intrusive.

Pairs with game ragù, grilled lamb chops with rosemary or mature Pecorino. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. An uncomplicated evening wine for the table among friends.
