Torre Di Giano Vigna Il Pino Bianco di Torgiano DOC Umbria 0.75L

Grechetto from the Il Pino hillside vineyard — this is the core of this white wine from Lungarotti, one of the defining wineries of Umbria. The grape variety is rooted in Central Italy and here, on the hills around Torgiano, it brings a clarity and freshness that is rarely found.

Lungarotti has significantly helped shape the DOC Bianco di Torgiano. The family winery has been cultivating the sites around Torgiano in the heart of Umbria for decades — a region characterized by clay soils and a continental climate. The Il Pino vineyard provides grapes with distinct minerality and good acidity structure.

In the glass, the wine shows aromas of white peach, lemon zest, and herbs — typical for well-cultivated Grechetto. The palate is fresh, with lively acidity and a clean, slightly bitter finish that reminds one of almonds and herbs. Not a heavy wine, but one with attitude.

Good with fried zucchini blossoms, pasta with truffle oil, pan-fried sea bass, or mild Pecorino. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.

Lungarotti

Lungarotti – your gateway to the soul of Umbria. In the 1960s, Giorgio Lungarotti revolutionized the Umbrian wine world, making Torgiano the region's first quality appellation. Today, his daughters Chiara and Teresa carry on the legacy with passion and vision. What makes Lungarotti so special? Wine and culture are inextricably linked here: a wine museum, a luxury hotel, and sustainable projects. On over 300 hectares, they produce wines that reflect the terroir of Umbria. The legendary Rubesco Vigna Monticchio – a single-varietal Sangiovese. With San Giorgio, they created the first "Superumbrian" in 1977. And they were the first winery in Umbria to receive the VIVA sustainability certification. Umbria, as it tastes.
