Aurente Chardonnay di Torgiano DOC 0.75L

A Burgundian-style Chardonnay from the heart of Umbria — vinified in barriques, aged for six months on the fine lees, with regular stirring (bâtonnage). The result is a white wine with substance and structure, which also undergoes several years of bottle aging before leaving the winery.

Lungarotti is the benchmark winery for the Torgiano DOC — an appellation that the family significantly shaped in the 1960s. The vineyards lie on the hills between Perugia and Assisi, on clay-limestone soil with a continental climate: warm summers, cool nights, which ensure freshness and aging potential.

The barrel aging significantly shapes the aroma profile: ripe yellow pear and peach, underpinned by brioche, vanilla, and a hint of roasted hazelnut. The texture is creamy, the acidity well-integrated, and the finish long and slightly spicy. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Drink by 2028.

Pairs well with veal medallions in cream sauce, lobster bisque, pasta with white truffle or a mature Pecorino from the region.

Lungarotti

Lungarotti – your gateway to the soul of Umbria. In the 1960s, Giorgio Lungarotti revolutionized the Umbrian wine world, making Torgiano the region's first quality appellation. Today, his daughters Chiara and Teresa carry on the legacy with passion and vision. What makes Lungarotti so special? Wine and culture are inextricably linked here: a wine museum, a luxury hotel, and sustainable projects. On over 300 hectares, they produce wines that reflect the terroir of Umbria. The legendary Rubesco Vigna Monticchio – a single-varietal Sangiovese. With San Giorgio, they created the first "Superumbrian" in 1977. And they were the first winery in Umbria to receive the VIVA sustainability certification. Umbria, as it tastes.
