Dulcis Vino Liquoroso 0.375L

The Dulcis from Lungarotti is a sweet wine from Umbria in a 0.375 l format: dense, honey-sweet, and with enough acidity so that it does not feel heavy. A wine for the end of a meal, to be served in small glasses.

Lungarotti is one of the most well-known wineries in Umbria and has shaped the region for decades. The Dulcis is a Vino Liquoroso, meaning a fortified wine. This explains its strength and its pronounced sweetness. We intentionally do not provide more details on production here, as we do not have verified information regarding grape varieties and aging.

The nose reveals dried apricots and raisins, plus honey and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is velvety and sweet; a fresh acidity provides counterpoint and structure. The finish lingers for a long time.

Serve it well chilled at 8 to 10 °C. It pairs well with almond pastries like Cantucci, with mature blue cheese, or with desserts featuring apricot and honey. It also works well solo after a meal.

The Winery

Lungarotti

Lungarotti – your gateway to the soul of Umbria. In the 1960s, Giorgio Lungarotti revolutionized the Umbrian wine world and made Torgiano the region's first quality appellation. Today, his daughters Chiara and Teresa continue the legacy – with passion and vision.

What makes Lungarotti special? Wine and culture are inextricably linked here: wine museum, luxury hotel, sustainable projects. On over 300 hectares, wines are created that reflect the terroir of Umbria.

The legendary Rubesco Vigna Monticchio – a single-varietal Sangiovese. With San Giorgio, they created the first “Superumbrian” in 1977. And as the first winery in Umbria, they received the VIVA sustainability certificate. Umbria, as it tastes.
