Lungarotti Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG

Montefalco Sagrantino from Lungarotti is a rich and highly complex red wine that harmoniously blends numerous fruity aromas of blueberries and sour cherries with elegant oak notes of cocoa and herbs. A noble wine with a robust structure and good concentration, accompanied by ripe tannins and a fruity, fresh acidity. Long finish! The Sagrantino grape variety has a high polyphenol content. These have an antioxidant effect when consumed in moderation! Wine Spectator: 91 points for the 2016 vintage. James Suckling: 93 points for the 2017 and 2018 vintages.

Today, his daughters Chiara and Teresa carry on the legacy with passion and vision. What makes Lungarotti so special? The legendary Rubesco Vigna Monticchio – a single-varietal Sangiovese. With San Giorgio, they created the first "Superumbrian" in 1977.
