Ruffino Chianti Superiore DOCG raffia bottle

Ruffino Chianti Superiore comes in the classic straw-covered bottle – a piece of Tuscan wine culture that the Tuscans themselves call a fiasco . Ruffino is one of the most famous Chianti producers in the region and has been producing wine in Pontassieve, east of Florence, since 1877.

In the glass, it displays a fresh, ruby-red color. The nose offers aromas of plum and damson, along with black pepper and subtle spice notes. On the palate, it is light and fruit-forward, with the acidity typical of Sangiovese that enlivens the body. The tannins are present but soft enough to enjoy the wine now – not a wine for aging, but rather an everyday companion with character. The finish is medium-long and spicy-fruity.
