Ruffino Orvieto Classico DOC
An uncomplicated white wine from the heart of Umbria – fresh, floral, and made for everyday life.
Ruffino is primarily known for its Tuscan wines, but has been producing this Orvieto Classico DOC since the 1960s – a classic that owes its character to the volcanic tuff soils around Orvieto. These permeable, mineral-rich soils characterize the wine with a fine spiciness that can be clearly felt in the glass.
The nose shows citrus zest, green apple, and a hint of acacia blossom. On the palate, light and lean, with subtle minerality and a fresh almond note in the finish. No rough edges – a wine that delivers exactly what it promises.
- Temperature: 8–10 °C
- Pairs with: Linguine alle vongole, grilled zucchini with ricotta, light fish fillet, or as an aperitif with olives and bruschetta
