Prestige Lugana DOC Magnum

A Lugana that impresses with its vibrancy – fresh, aromatic and with enough structure for the table.

Cà Maiol is one of the most renowned wineries around Lake Garda. The estate is situated directly on the southern shore of the lake, where the Turbiana grape – the indigenous variety of Lugana – thrives on the characteristic calcareous marl soils of the DOC. These soils impart the wines with their mineral character and the typical freshness that distinguishes Lugana from other northern Italian white wines.

In the glass, the Prestige Lugana displays aromas of citrus, mandarin, and light stone fruit , underpinned by wild herbs and lemon thyme. The palate is linear and dynamic: fresh acidity carries green apple and citrus notes, and the finish is lively with a delicate hint of white pepper. The magnum bottle (1.5 l) matures more slowly than the standard bottle, which benefits its freshness and aromatic precision.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled sea bass, lemon and herb risotto, burrata with tomatoes , or light appetizers. Also a good choice as an aperitif at the table – especially when serving several guests at once.

Cà Maiol

Cà Maiol is an Italian winery founded in 1967 by Walter Contato. The family business is now run by the second generation, Fabio and Patrizia Contato. Located at the southern end of Lake Garda, the winery owns approximately 140 hectares of vineyards with calcareous clay soils. Thanks to its proximity to Lake Garda, the region also enjoys a very mild climate. Among the grape varieties cultivated are Trbbiano di Lugano, Marzemino, Gropello, and Sangiovese.
