Pinot Bianco Kristallberg

Piece by piece, the pergola planted with Vernatsch grapes had to give way to modern Guyot trellises with grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Low yields, healthy grapes, and gentle vinification with the highly selective use of oak produce refined, fruity, and elegant white wines with a delicate varietal character, as well as full-bodied and harmonious red wines—pure "tigers on velvet paws." The Pinot Blanc Kristallberg is an example of the modern style of white wines from Alto Adige. James Suckling: 92 points for the 2015 vintage.

Elena Walch

Elena Walch – an architect by passion, a winemaker by conviction. Since 1985, she has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her vineyards. Her motto: "Good wine doesn't grow by itself!" She has uncompromisingly transformed the two South Tyrolean Cru vineyards, Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz, owned exclusively by her family. Piece by piece, she converted the pergola trellises into modern Guyot training systems with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The result: low yields, healthy grapes, gentle vinification with targeted use of oak. Fruity, elegant white wines – and red wines, pure "tigers on velvet paws." Top-class South Tyrolean wines with a clear signature.
