Philipp Kuhn Pinot Gris Reserve dry

Philipp Kuhn Pinot Gris Reserve dry
A Pinot Gris that combines weight and finesse: creamy texture, ripe fruit and a mineral line that comes from the loess soil of the Palatinate.
Philipp Kuhn cultivates his vineyards in Laumersheim with a distinct style – the soils of ancient quartz and limestone give the wine a characteristic minerality. The reserve aging in barriques adds depth to the Pinot Gris without overpowering the fruit.
In the glass, apricot and ripe pear are evident, with a hint of walnut and a subtle smoky aroma from oak aging. On the palate, the wine is opulent, with a creamy texture and well-integrated acidity—the finish is long and slightly mineral. Serving temperature: 12–13 °C.
It pairs well with roasted veal loin with cream sauce, risotto with porcini mushrooms, or mature Comté cheese. If it's aged for another one to two years, it will become even more melt-in-your-mouth tender.
