Old Perth 12 Year old 46% vol Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 0.7L

A blended malt Scotch whisky consisting exclusively of Speyside single malts, each matured for at least twelve years. The bottling comes from the Old Perth range by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers and relies entirely on sherry casks: only whiskies from Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso casks are used.

Bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration and without coloring. The whisky remains just as the casks have shaped it. In the nose, sweet, stewed fruits appear with subtle spice notes. On the palate, it appears rich: orange marmalade, dried fruits, and ginger. In the long finish, fruit compote and lingering spice follow.

Recommendation: neat or with a few drops of water to open up the sherry notes. It goes with a quiet evening after a meal, with dark chocolate, or with a robust blue cheese.
