Mac-Talla Ltd Edition Virgin Oak 53.8% Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0.7L

The Mac-Talla Limited Edition Virgin Oak is a smoky Islay single malt where fresh American oak significantly shapes the island character. It is bottled at 53.8% ABV.

Behind Mac-Talla are Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. This edition is based on 27 casks: bourbon casks and virgin oak casks with a powerful "#4 Char" from Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky. The whisky was then married for three months in virgin oak, which gives it additional depth.

In the glass, it is the color of golden barley. On the nose, oak spice and gentle peat smoke meet caramel apples and muscovado sugar. On the palate, smoked oak, warm baking spices, caramel pudding, and creamy butter toffee are added. Sweetness, spice, and smoke are in balance; the finish is long.

Try it neat or with a few drops of water, then the aromas open up further. It goes with a quiet evening by the fireplace or as a companion to dark chocolate.

Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers

Five generations of whisky history are behind Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. The house trades in whisky, blends, bottles, and distills itself – a family business that knows Scottish whisky from every angle.

With us, you will find bottlings from two of Scotland's most famous whisky regions: from Speyside, which stands for its soft, fruity malts with vanilla and yellow fruit, and from the island of Islay, where smoke, salt, and peat set the tone. This allows you to taste your way through the entire spectrum, from a mild introduction to a powerful smoky aroma.

A great choice for anyone looking for Scotch with origin and craftsmanship in their glass.
