Càrn Mòr Strictly Ltd Glen Elgin 2017 47.5% ABV 6y Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1st Fill Bourbon 0.7L

A Speyside single malt from the Glen Elgin distillery, vintage 2017, matured for six years in first-fill bourbon casks. The result is a clear, wood-accented malt with plenty of fruitiness.

It was bottled by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers in the Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited series, at 47.5% ABV, without chill filtration and without coloring. This keeps the aroma and mouthfeel as they come from the cask. First-fill bourbon casks typically contribute vanilla, toffee, caramel, and fresh oak spice, while the distillery character contributes the fruit notes.

Best enjoyed neat in a nosing glass, preferably with a few drops of water to further open up the aromas. It also fits into any tasting centered on bourbon cask maturation, for example in comparison with other young Speyside bottlings.

Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers

Five generations of whisky history are behind Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. The house trades in whisky, blends, bottles, and distills itself – a family business that knows Scottish whisky from every angle.

With us, you will find bottlings from two of Scotland's most famous whisky regions: from Speyside, which stands for its soft, fruity malts with vanilla and yellow fruit, and from the island of Islay, where smoke, salt, and peat set the tone. This allows you to taste your way through the entire spectrum, from a mild introduction to a powerful smoky aroma.

A great choice for anyone looking for Scotch with origin and craftsmanship in their glass.
