Càrn Mòr COC Glen Grant 1996 55.3% vol 27 Y.O. Single Malt Scotch Whisky Oloroso Butt 0.7L

A Speyside single malt from 1996, matured for 27 years in an Oloroso butt and bottled at 55.3% vol at cask strength. This bottling comes from the Celebration of the Cask series by Càrn Mòr, without chill filtration and without coloring.

Glen Grant is located in Rothes, where John and James Grant applied for the distillery license in 1840. Barley fields, water within reach, and proximity to the sea with the port of Garmouth ensured good conditions from the start. The Oloroso butt is a large sherry cask suitable for long maturation.

Expect the typical notes of an Oloroso cask: dried fruits, nuts, and dark spice, plus the fruit of a Speyside malt. At cask strength, the whisky is dense and powerful. Recommendation: neat in small sips, with a few drops of water if desired. This allows the aromas to open up gradually. A dram for a quiet evening when you take your time.

Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers

Five generations of whisky history are behind Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. The house trades in whisky, blends, bottles, and distills itself – a family business that knows Scottish whisky from every angle.

With us, you will find bottlings from two of Scotland's most famous whisky regions: from Speyside, which stands for its soft, fruity malts with vanilla and yellow fruit, and from the island of Islay, where smoke, salt, and peat set the tone. This allows you to taste your way through the entire spectrum, from a mild introduction to a powerful smoky aroma.

A great choice for anyone looking for Scotch with origin and craftsmanship in their glass.
