Bruadar is a Scottish malt whisky liqueur with 24% vol. It combines the malty depth of a single malt Scotch with the sweetness of Scottish honey and the tart fruit of sloes.

Behind the liqueur is Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. The recipe has been kept a secret for over 20 years. The base is single malt Scotch whisky, supplemented with honey and sloe fruit.

In the glass, Bruadar appears velvety-sweet; the honey provides roundness, the sloe brings dark, slightly tart fruit and a spicy note. The malt gives the whole thing body and a malty base.

Recommendation: neat or on ice as a digestif after a meal. In a drink, it adds malty sweetness, for example in a variation of the Old Fashioned. In the kitchen, it goes with desserts containing chocolate or dark fruits, such as over vanilla ice cream or with brownies.
