Càrn Mòr COC Benriach 1992 47.8% vol 33 y. Single Malt Scotch Whisky Sherry Butt 0.7L

A 33-year-old single malt from Speyside, bottled as a single cask from a sherry butt. This Benriach from the 1992 vintage appears in the Càrn Mòr Celebration of the Cask series, at 47.8% ABV, without chill filtration and without coloring.

Benriach was founded in 1898 near Elgin, had to close after two years, and served as a malting floor until 1965. Afterward, there were changing owners and many experiments, including smoky styles. In 2004, the group around Billy Walker brought the distillery back to success; in 2016, it was sold along with Glendronach and Glenglassaugh for 285 million GBP to Brown-Forman.

A sherry butt often characterizes whiskies of this type with dark fruit notes, spices, and oak spice. How this single cask presents itself after more than three decades is for the glass to decide. Recommendation: neat at room temperature, with some time and, if necessary, a few drops of water. A whisky for quiet evenings and for collectors of limited single-cask bottlings.

Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers

Five generations of whisky history are behind Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. The house trades in whisky, blends, bottles, and distills itself – a family business that knows Scottish whisky from every angle.

With us, you will find bottlings from two of Scotland's most famous whisky regions: from Speyside, which stands for its soft, fruity malts with vanilla and yellow fruit, and from the island of Islay, where smoke, salt, and peat set the tone. This allows you to taste your way through the entire spectrum, from a mild introduction to a powerful smoky aroma.

A great choice for anyone looking for Scotch with origin and craftsmanship in their glass.
