Lorch Estate Riesling off-dry QW Rheingau

A Riesling from Lorch, the western tip of the Rheingau, with clear structure and subtle sweetness. The Lorch Estate from Weingut Georg Breuer stands for a cool, straightforward style.

The grapes grow on the slate soils around Lorch. They characterize the wine with stony minerality and noticeable pressure. The name Georg Breuer stands for precise, origin-driven Rieslings in the Rheingau.

Radiant yellow in the glass. On the nose, stony notes meet yellow fruit and ripe citrus fruits. On the palate, the wine runs straight and taut: a lively acidity meets fine extract sweetness, which keeps it off-dry yet tense. The finish is long and mineral.

Serve it at 8 to 10 °C. It pairs well with smoked trout, sushi, mildly spicy Thai dishes or fresh goat cheese. It works just as well solo as an aperitif.

Weingut Georg Breuer

Weingut Georg Breuer from Rüdesheim – Rieslings you won't forget. Clear, precise, full of character.

The steep slopes on the Berg Schlossberg, with terraces of up to 65 percent incline, are no place for machines. Here, manual labor, experience, and a good instinct count. Only the best grapes make it into the bottle – the rest stays out. That is an attitude, not a promise.

In the glass: mandarin peel, red apple, white peach. Slim, lively, straightforward.

And a special detail: every year, an artist designs the label of the Berg Schlossberg. An invitation to take a close look – at the bottle and at what is inside it.
