Lorch Estate Riesling dry QW Rheingau 0.75L

Riesling from Lorch carries its own signature: here, where the Rheingau meets the Middle Rhine, slate soils shape the wines with a minerality that differs significantly from the limestone and loess sites further east. Georg Breuer is one of the addresses in the Rheingau that consistently works out this difference.

The Lorch Estate Riesling comes from southwest-facing sites around the town of Lorch. The slate stores heat, releases it slowly at night, and ensures even ripening while maintaining lively acidity. In the glass, this shows as a clear citrus structure — lime and white peach — with a fine slate tone in the finish that makes the wine longer than one initially expects.

Vinified dry, with precise acidity and a lean body, it is a Riesling that holds its own at the table: with grilled fish, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or light poultry. It also works well with Asian dishes with lemongrass or ginger. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.

Weingut Georg Breuer

Georg Breuer Winery from Rüdesheim – Rieslings you won't forget. Clear, precise, full of character. The steep slopes of the Schlossberg hill, with terraces of up to 65 percent incline, are no place for machines. Here, handwork, experience, and a good intuition are what count. Only the best grapes make it into the bottle – the rest stay out. That's a principle, not a promise. In the glass: mandarin peel, red apple, white peach. Slender, vibrant, straightforward. And a special detail: Every year, an artist designs the label for the Schlossberg wine. An invitation to take a closer look – at the bottle and at what's inside.
