Georg Breuer Gris Grauburgunder

Georg Breuer Gris shows what Pinot Gris from the Rheingau can do: not a heavy, sleepy variety, but a structured white wine with depth and a creamy texture that lingers in the mouth.

The Georg Breuer winery in Rüdesheim is one of the leading names in the Rheingau region – known above all for its Rieslings from vineyards such as the Schlossberg. The Gris demonstrates that the estate also possesses a keen eye for craftsmanship when it comes to Pinot Gris.

In the glass, a medium golden yellow with a warm sheen. The nose opens with ripe yellow pears, white peach, and a floral hint – meadow flowers, a touch of elderflower. On the palate, it is clearly structured: the fruit is present without being overpowering, the texture silky-creamy, the finish fresh with a fine length.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with veal schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce, quiche with leeks and goat's cheese, or a good slice of Munster cheese. Also a sure bet as an aperitif with some charcuterie. Drink now.

Georg Breuer Winery

Georg Breuer Winery from Rüdesheim – Rieslings you won't forget. Clear, precise, full of character. The steep slopes of the Schlossberg hill, with terraces of up to 65 percent incline, are no place for machines. Here, handwork, experience, and a good intuition are what count. Only the best grapes make it into the bottle – the rest stay out. That's a principle, not a promise. In the glass: mandarin peel, red apple, white peach. Slender, vibrant, straightforward. And a special detail: Every year, an artist designs the label for the Schlossberg wine. An invitation to take a closer look – at the bottle and at what's inside.
