GB Rouge QW Rheingau

The GB Rouge is a dry Spätburgunder from the Rheingau that scores with clear fruit and a finely spiced structure without appearing heavy.

The grapes for this wine come from carefully selected plots in Rüdesheim, Rauenthal, and the central Rheingau. The Georg Breuer winery is one of the well-known addresses in the region. The wine matures for 6 to 8 months in traditional wooden barrels of 1200 to 2400 liters.

In the glass, it shows a luminous ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose, forest berries and sour cherry, plus hints of smoke, clove, and vanilla. On the palate, juicy fruit with fresh cherry aromas, subtle roasted notes, and fine-limbed tannin. The structure remains finely spiced, the overall impression balanced and elegant.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16 to 17 °C. It goes with duck breast, roasted rabbit, mushroom dishes, or mild mountain cheese.

The Winery

Weingut Georg Breuer

Weingut Georg Breuer from Rüdesheim – Rieslings you won't forget. Clear, precise, full of character.

The steep slopes on the Berg Schlossberg, with terraces of up to 65 percent incline, are no place for machines. Here, manual labor, experience, and a good instinct count. Only the best grapes make it into the bottle – the rest stays out. That is an attitude, not a promise.

In the glass: mandarin peel, red apple, white peach. Slim, lively, straightforward.

And a special detail: every year, an artist designs the label of the Berg Schlossberg. An invitation to take a close look – at the bottle and at what is inside it.
