Georg Breuer Rüdesheim Estate Riesling dry
The Rüdesheim Estate is the entry point into the Breuer universe – and at the same time a prime example of what the Rheingau region can achieve when location and craftsmanship are right.
Georg Breuer winery has been one of the leading names in the Rheingau region for decades. The winery in Rüdesheim consistently focuses on dry, single-vineyard Rieslings – the Estate wine encompasses the characteristic parcels of the Rüdesheim vineyards: quartzite and slate-dominated soils that impart the wine's typical minerality.
In the glass, it displays a clear yellow color with green reflections. The nose offers ripe mirabelle plum, grapefruit, and a distinct hint of white pepper – along with a cool stone fruit note reminiscent of apricot skin. On the palate, it is dry and taut, with lively acidity and a fine minerality on the finish. Not a heavy, rich wine – rather precise and spicy.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled pike-perch fillet with herb butter, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a young goat cheese. If drinking it neat, serve it as an aperitif with a few slices of lardo on toasted bread.
