Spätburgunder Pinot Noir QW Rheingau 0.75L
A Spätburgunder from the Rheingau that shows the cooler, slate-influenced side of this grape variety: structured, clear, with fine fruit instead of opulence.
Weingut Georg Breuer is one of the defining names of the Rheingau — known for uncompromising quality in Rüdesheim and Rauenthal. The grapes for this Spätburgunder grow on quartzite and slate slopes, which give the wine a mineral basic tension. Selective hand-picking and destemming of the berries are standard at Breuer, not the exception.
In the glass, it shows aromas of sour cherry and red currant, plus a hint of violets and subtle earthy spice. The body is medium-weight, the tannins fine and well-integrated, the finish dry with a pleasant freshness. Not a heavy, alcohol-driven style — but a Pinot Noir that places elegance above power.
Goes well with duck breast with cherry sauce, grilled lamb chops, or a ripe goat cheese. Serving temperature: 16–17 °C — slightly cooler than many red wines so that the fruit and minerality come into their own.

Georg Breuer Winery from Rüdesheim – Rieslings you won't forget. Clear, precise, full of character. The steep slopes of the Schlossberg hill, with terraces of up to 65 percent incline, are no place for machines. Here, handwork, experience, and a good intuition are what count. Only the best grapes make it into the bottle – the rest stay out. That's a principle, not a promise. In the glass: mandarin peel, red apple, white peach. Slender, vibrant, straightforward. And a special detail: Every year, an artist designs the label for the Schlossberg wine. An invitation to take a closer look – at the bottle and at what's inside.
