GB Sans Riesling German dealcoholized wine

A Riesling from the Rheingau from which the Weingut Georg Breuer has removed the alcohol without taking away its structure: dry, clear, and with taut acidity.

Georg Breuer is one of the well-known names in the Rheingau and, according to their own philosophy, stands for origin, precision, and time. For the GB Sans, a classic Riesling is first vinified. Then, the spinning-cone process removes the alcohol: under vacuum, a centrifugal distillation first separates the volatile aromatic compounds, then the alcohol. Subsequently, the aromas are returned to the wine so that the varietal character is preserved.

In the glass, light greenish-yellow. On the nose, fresh citrus notes and crisp apple. On the palate, dry, with clear, precise acidity and a juicy texture that gives the wine support. Straightforward in style, lean, and without frills in the finish.

Serve it well chilled at 8 to 10 °C. It pairs well with steamed fish, fresh goat cheese, salads with citrus dressing, or Asian-spiced vegetable dishes, and it works just as well as an aperitif as it does as a companion for a meal when you want to forgo alcohol.

The Winery

Weingut Georg Breuer

Weingut Georg Breuer from Rüdesheim – Rieslings you won't forget. Clear, precise, full of character.

The steep slopes on the Berg Schlossberg, with terraces of up to 65 percent incline, are no place for machines. Here, manual labor, experience, and a good instinct count. Only the best grapes make it into the bottle – the rest stays out. That is an attitude, not a promise.

In the glass: mandarin peel, red apple, white peach. Slim, lively, straightforward.

And a special detail: every year, an artist designs the label of the Berg Schlossberg. An invitation to take a close look – at the bottle and at what is inside it.
