Sauvignon Blanc Fumé

A full nose with lemongrass, a touch of peach, fresh gooseberries, preserved pear, fresh herbs, and freshly cut grass. Clear and delicately juicy, very fruit-driven on the palate with gooseberries, tart citrus, fresh pear with pastry and fresh herbs; a very assertive presence with power and backbone, lively and fresh with tension and drive, a slightly emerging salty minerality, very dry and tart, complex, with very fresh gooseberries with pear, apple, fresh herbs, and a hint of pastry on the finish.

Landerer

Landerer Winery – this is Burgundy that tastes of volcanic soil. Literally. On the Kaiserstuhl, where ancient volcanic rock forms the soil, the Landerer family has cultivated their vines for generations. The Kirchberg, Eichberg, and Henkenberg vineyards give the wines something that can't be forced – it has to be allowed to happen. Johannes Landerer understood this early on. At 17, he planted his first vineyard, experimented in the barren rock, and developed his own style. In 2016, after the sudden death of his father, Thomas, he took over the winery – a heavy burden he bears with respect and passion. What drives him: that you can truly taste in the glass where the wine comes from. Vintage, soil, microclimate – everything should be perceptible. To achieve this, his team works in harmony with nature, consciously reduces yields, and gives the grapes time to ripen. Wine that tells a story. People who listen.
