Cuvee Red “Insider” QbA dry

A red wine that leaves classic fruitiness behind and instead focuses on herbs, minerality and tension – the “Insider” from the Landerer winery is a wine for those who prefer depth to a broad aromatic profile.

The Landerer winery is one of the most influential producers in the Markgräflerland region, the southernmost tip of Baden. Its proximity to the Rhine and the foothills of the Black Forest shapes the soils: slate and limestone impart a salty, powerful minerality to the wines, which is particularly noticeable in the "Insider." The name says it all – this wine is aimed at connoisseurs who drink beyond the mainstream.

On the nose, it displays a pronounced herbal and yeasty character with iodine and tart citrus fruit – typical notes of spontaneous fermentation that signal depth. The texture on the palate is surprising: delicately juicy, yet firm and taut. No soft fruit indulgences, but rather vibrant freshness, salt, and slate minerality with a distinct presence. The finish returns to the initial notes – herbs, yeast, concentrated salinity – and lingers long.

Landerer

Landerer Winery – this is Burgundy that tastes of volcanic soil. Literally. On the Kaiserstuhl, where ancient volcanic rock forms the soil, the Landerer family has cultivated their vines for generations. The Kirchberg, Eichberg, and Henkenberg vineyards give the wines something that can't be forced – it has to be allowed to happen. Johannes Landerer understood this early on. At 17, he planted his first vineyard, experimented in the barren rock, and developed his own style. In 2016, after the sudden death of his father, Thomas, he took over the winery – a heavy burden he bears with respect and passion. What drives him: that you can truly taste in the glass where the wine comes from. Vintage, soil, microclimate – everything should be perceptible. To achieve this, his team works in harmony with nature, consciously reduces yields, and gives the grapes time to ripen. Wine that tells a story. People who listen.
