Oberrotweiler Pinot Noir Black Earth
An expressive village wine with a distinct origin and signature: The volcanic weathered soils of the Henkenberg and Eichberg vineyards lend it character, depth, and a pronounced minerality. On the nose and palate, precise cherry fruit is evident, accompanied by delicate spicy nuances and gently integrated tannins. Fermentation on the skins in wooden vats, the partial use of whole clusters, and aging for over 12 months in barriques contribute to its complexity, structure, and elegance. Bottled unfiltered, this wine presents itself authentically, vibrantly, and multifacetedly—a delight with charm, substance, and great appeal.

Landerer Winery – this is Burgundy that tastes of volcanic soil. Literally. On the Kaiserstuhl, where ancient volcanic rock forms the soil, the Landerer family has cultivated their vines for generations. The Kirchberg, Eichberg, and Henkenberg vineyards give the wines something that can't be forced – it has to be allowed to happen. Johannes Landerer understood this early on. At 17, he planted his first vineyard, experimented in the barren rock, and developed his own style. In 2016, after the sudden death of his father, Thomas, he took over the winery – a heavy burden he bears with respect and passion. What drives him: that you can truly taste in the glass where the wine comes from. Vintage, soil, microclimate – everything should be perceptible. To achieve this, his team works in harmony with nature, consciously reduces yields, and gives the grapes time to ripen. Wine that tells a story. People who listen.
