La Rioja Alta, S.A.

La Rioja Alta is a true jewel among the venerable bodegas. The portfolio of this Spanish legend shows a fantastic selection of unique premium wines with a wealth of personality and charm. It is perhaps the best that Spain has to offer! Anyone who manages to get hold of one of these noble drops can consider themselves lucky, because with a yield of five tons per hectare, production is strictly limited. The family-owned bodega was founded in 1890 in the small town of Haro in the Rioja Alta and today covers 415 hectares of vineyards with an average age of 25 years.

Only grapes from their own cultivation are processed – primarily Tempranillo. They are harvested by hand and transported to the bodega in refrigerated trucks. There, after fermentation, they are awaited by self-produced oak barrels, the wood for which was imported from the USA and dried outdoors for two years. Every six months, all wines are manually racked by candlelight.

The Bodega

La Rioja Alta

La Rioja Alta, S.A. – behind this name is one of the most venerable addresses in Spanish viticulture. For over 130 years, people have been working here with a clear attitude: patience is not a luxury, but the foundation for great wine. The bodega is located in the heart of the Rioja Alta and has never let itself be driven by trends. Instead, they rely on long barrel aging, hand-picked grapes, and a deep understanding of their vineyards. The result?

Wines you won't forget – with red fruits, fine spices, and a velvety warmth that lingers for a long time. Four bodegas, four regions – from the Rioja to the Rías Baixas. But no matter where you look: everywhere the same care, the same passion.
