Lindeiros

An Albariño from the heart of Galicia — and a surprise from the house of La Rioja Alta, which is known for its Rioja red wines. With the Lindeiros, the traditional winery proves that it is also at home in the north of Spain.

La Rioja Alta was founded in 1890 and is one of the oldest bodegas in Rioja. The Lindeiros, however, comes from the Rías Baixas, Galicia's most famous white wine region directly on the Atlantic. The cool sea breezes and the granitic soils define the style of this Albariño site: lively acidity, distinct minerality, salty depth.

In the glass, the 2021 shows aromas of fresh apple and melon, underscored by white flowers and a distinctly salty, almost iodine-like pull — the typical coastal profile of the Rías Baixas. On the palate, taut acidity, medium body, long fresh finish.
