Aster Crianza

Tempranillo from a single vineyard, aged for 15 months in barrique, with a clearly defined character: The Áster Crianza shows what Ribera del Duero can do when origin and craftsmanship come together.

La Rioja Alta is a well-established name in Rioja – but with Áster, the family ventured into Ribera del Duero in the early 1990s. The grapes come exclusively from Finca el Otero , a single vineyard with old Tinta del País vines (the local name for Tempranillo). The wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels – an approach that gives the wine structure without overpowering the fruit.

Intense cherry red in the glass. The nose offers blackberry and dark plum, along with delicate roasted aromas of toffee and caramel. Full-bodied on the palate, the tannins are well-integrated and provide grip without harshness. The finish is warm and lingering.

La Rioja Alta

La Rioja Alta, SA – behind this name lies one of the most venerable names in Spanish winemaking. For over 130 years, people have worked here with a clear philosophy: patience is not a luxury, but the foundation for great wine. The winery is located in the heart of the Rioja Alta and has never been driven by trends. Instead, they focus on long barrel aging, hand-picked grapes, and a deep understanding of their vineyards. The result? Wines you won't forget – with red fruits, delicate spices, and a velvety warmth that lingers on the palate. Sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a lived practice: Viña Alberdi was recently awarded Sustainable Wine Product of the Year – proof that tradition and responsibility go hand in hand. Four wineries, four regions – from Rioja to the Rías Baixas. But no matter where you look: the same care, the same passion.
