Eberbach Monastery Pinot Noir dry

A Pinot Noir that brings the centuries-old red wine tradition of the Rheingau into the bottle — matured in the wooden barrel cellar of the Assmannshausen estate, the historic heart of the winery.

Eberbach Monastery is one of the oldest and most renowned wineries in Germany. The Cistercian monks began systematic viticulture here in the 12th century – the Assmannshausen estate remains the center for the estate's Pinot Noir production to this day. Aging in oak barrels follows this long tradition: not a modern style, but a wine with substance and a focus on aging.

The glass reveals aromas of dark cherry and blackberry, underpinned by a subtle earthy minerality and delicate oak spice—a result of barrel aging in Assmannshausen. The wine is medium-bodied with soft tannins and well-integrated acidity. The finish is spicy and lingering.
