Cigalus Blanc

Cigalus Blanc is an elegant, dry white wine from the Languedoc region of southern France, produced by Gérard Bertrand at Domaine de Cigalus. The blend consists of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc , and Viognier grapes grown on organically farmed soils in a Mediterranean climate.

In the glass, it displays a radiant, bright golden yellow. The nose is complex and aromatic with notes of citrus, peach, apricot, exotic fruits, as well as subtle vanilla, butter, and light toast from the oak barrel aging. On the palate, the Cigalus Blanc is full-bodied, creamy, yet crisp, with well-integrated acidity, an elegant smoothness, and a long, lingering, fruity finish.

The alcohol content is approximately 13.5–14.5% ABV; the wine is ideally served at 10–12 °C. It pairs excellently with fish, seafood, mild cheeses, poultry with cream sauce, or light Mediterranean dishes and is suitable for both early consumption and aging for one to two years.
