Domäne Wachau Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Terrassen Magnum

A classic Wachau Grüner Veltliner in a large format: the magnum bottle gives the Federspiel Terrassen more aging potential than the standard bottle — ideal if you want to have a fresh but characterful white wine in stock.

The Domäne Wachau is one of Austria's most famous winegrowers' cooperatives, founded in 1938, with sites along the Danube between Melk and Krems. The Terrassen label stands for wines from the typical loess terraces of the Wachau — lighter, more accessible soils than the primary rock sites of the Smaragd range, but with a clear regional signature. Federspiel denotes a light to medium-bodied style with a maximum of 12.5% vol. according to the Wachau classification system — named after the lure used in falconry.

In the glass, the typical Grüner Veltliner character appears: white pepper and fresh herbal spice in the foreground, behind it yellow apple and a hint of citrus zest. On the palate, juicy, with lively acidity and a slender body — not a heavyweight, but precise and varietal-typical. The finish is spicy and Off-Dry.
