Riesling Federspiel Terrassen Domäne Wachau

Riesling Federspiel Terrassen Domäne Wachau
A Riesling that brings the character of the Wachau directly into the glass: fresh, precise, and with the typical raciness that terrace sites on primary rock produce.
The Domäne Wachau is one of Austria's most significant cooperatives – around 200 winegrower families jointly cultivate the steep terrace sites along the Danube between Spitz, Dürnstein, and Weißenkirchen. The Federspiel is the lightest of the three Wachau quality levels, named after the falconry lure – a hint of drinkability and freshness rather than heaviness.
The grapes are selectively hand-picked and fermented cool in stainless steel tanks, which keeps the fruit aromas clear. In the glass, it shows peach and citrus zest, a hint of white blossoms, and the mineral spice typical of Wachau Riesling on the finish. The acidity is lively, the body lean – a wine that whets the appetite.
- Food: Grilled zander, Wiener Schnitzel, asparagus dishes, or a fresh goat cheese
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
