Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Terrassen

Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Terrassen
The Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Terrassen from Domäne Wachau comes from hand-selected grapes in the terraced vineyards of the Wachau – those steep, laboriously farmed sites above the Danube, whose primary rock soils give the Veltliner its characteristic spice.
Harvested late and vinified dry, it shows ripe citrus fruit, white pepper, and a hint of herbal spice on the nose – the classic profile of Grüner Veltliner at a high level. On the palate, a lively acidity structure combines with a powerful body and juicy fruit; the finish is long and spicy. Smaragd – the highest ripeness designation in the Wachau – stands for exactly this density and depth, which also ensures the wine has good aging potential.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with Wiener Schnitzel, grilled zander, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or spicy mountain cheese.
