Domäne Wachau Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Terrassen

Domäne Wachau Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Terrassen
A classic Wachau Grüner Veltliner in the Federspiel style: light-footed, drinkable, with the typical peppery bite of the grape variety.
Domäne Wachau is one of Austria's most significant winegrowers' cooperatives, founded in 1938 and with around 450 hectares of sites between Spitz and Krems. The Terrassen sites – the eponymous stepped terraces of gneiss and mica schist – shape the mineral undertone of the wines. The Federspiel is the lightest of the three Wachau quality levels (up to 11.5% vol.) and stands for uncomplicated, fresh drinking pleasure.
In the glass, the wine shows pale straw yellow with green reflections. On the nose, white pepper, green apple, and a hint of fresh herbs. On the palate, juicy, with invigorating acidity and a spicy, short finish – the pepper remains until the end.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Food: Wiener Schnitzel, zander with caper butter, asparagus dishes, pretzel pastries with cream cheese
