Domäne Wachau Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Terrassen

Domäne Wachau Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Terrassen
A classic Wachau Grüner Veltliner in the Federspiel style: light-footed, easy to drink, with the typical peppery bite of the grape variety.
Domäne Wachau is one of Austria's most important winegrowers' cooperatives, founded in 1938 and encompassing around 450 hectares of vineyards between Spitz and Krems. The terraced vineyards – the eponymous stepped terraces of gneiss and mica schist – define the mineral character of the wines. Federspiel is the lightest of the three Wachau quality levels (up to 11.5% ABV) and represents uncomplicated, refreshing drinking pleasure.
In the glass, the wine displays a pale straw yellow color with green reflections. The nose offers aromas of white pepper, green apple, and a hint of fresh herbs. On the palate, it is juicy with lively acidity and a spicy, short finish – the pepper lingers until the very end.
