Grüner Veltliner VSN

A Grüner Veltliner that breaks the mold – intentionally so. Domäne Wachau has fortified this variety with their own Wachau brandy, creating a Veltliner Sweet Naturel (VSN) inspired by the Vins Doux Naturels of southern France.

Domäne Wachau is one of the most renowned producers in the Danube Valley – a cooperative with over 400 hectares of vineyards on the steep terraces between Melk and Krems. Known for its dry Smaragd wines, this project reveals a different side of the estate: artisanal curiosity and the courage to reimagine a traditional grape variety.

In the glass, the VSN displays the typical Grüner Veltliner aromas – white pepper, ripe apple, a hint of herbs – complemented by the depth and warmth of the brandy. The sweetness is balanced by the grape's natural acidity, and the finish is long and spicy.
